Discussion “Russia’s aggression against Ukraine: how to carry out humanitarian activities when humanitarian law is violated?”
After Russia attacked Ukraine, they began to announce the deaths of civilians, the bombing of residential buildings, hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and universities. People are forced to hide from the attacks in underground parking lots and basements, there is a lack of food, medicine, and other essential products, and it is not easy to provide humanitarian aid in such situations. Violations of international humanitarian law committed by Russia and the operation of norms of international humanitarian law in practice and the significance of the activities of humanitarian organizations were discussed at the 2022/03/09 meeting of the Faculty of Law of VU at the event “Russia’s aggression against Ukraine: how to carry out humanitarian activities when humanitarian law is violated?”.
