Lawyers’ Days TeDi’21 opening conference “How does the profession of a lawyer look like in different spheres”
The main goal of the Lawyers’ Day 2021 (TeDi’21) series of events is to familiarize young lawyers with future perspectives. Opening conference on the topic “What does the legal profession look like in different spheres”.
The theme of this year’s conference attracted the attention not only of young lawyers, but also of the public interested in law. Since in public life you often have to come across legal science practices, you have to be alarmed even more often when you realize that certain terms attributed to the legal profession are just terms for a large part of society. Well, young people who have just started studying law in order to get to know their future prospects often have to face a “dry” amount of information that they cannot satisfy their curiosity to learn about interesting career opportunities in law.
- Ignas Vėgėlė – legal expert of international and European law, chairman of the Lithuanian Bar Council, professor of the Department of International and European Union Law of the MRU Faculty of Law.
- Arūnas Meška – the chief prosecutor of the Criminal Prosecution Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office and associate professor of partnership at the Department of Criminal Justice of Vilnius University, Faculty of Law.
- Jelena Jonis – a practicing lawyer whose consulting and teaching experience includes the areas of data protection, application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), European Union and Lithuanian labour law and non-discrimination law.
