Seminar on ADR promotion in Lithaunia and Ukraine took place virtually

Vilnius University Faculty of Law together with Institute of Law of Taras Shevchenko KNU together perform a joint scientific project “Strengthening alternative dispute resolution in Ukraine and Lithuania: search for a solution for cross-border disputes”.  On the 22nd of October, 2020 online seminar “Sharing Lithuanian Best Practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Ukraine” took place on Zoom platform. Head of the project in Lithaunia prof. habil. dr. Vytautas Nekrošius spoke about development of arbitration in Lithuania, prof. dr. Jurgita Paužaitė-Kulvinskienė discussed elements of ADR in administrative procedure and assoc. prof. dr. Vigita Vėbraitė talked about mediation in civili disputes. Scholars from Ukraine discussed development of arbitration and mediation in Ukraine and prof. dr. C.H. Remco van Rhee from Maastricht University analyzed Ukrainen draft law on mediation.

All participants expressed their hope to organise live face to face events next year in Ukraine and Lithuania.
