KoDi’20: discussion “The history of the development of the constitution” with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas A. Vaičaitis
Have you ever wondered why the 25th day of October 1992 is so important to us and because of what development path we can celebrate the Constitution Days every year? In commemoration of the Constitution Day, a discussion took place with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas A. Vaičaitis.
Several relevant issues were discussed during the discussion:
- How to understand the concept of “historical Lithuanian constitution” used in legal science?
- What were the first constitutional acts after the restoration of Lithuania’s independence and when did they start thinking about the original Constitution of Lithuania?
- What were the main drafts of the Lithuanian Constitution?
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas A. Vaičaitis is not only a doctor of legal sciences, specialist in constitutional law, associated professor of the Department of Public Law of VU TF, but also a historian, futurist, LMT expert, a full member of the Independent Expert Group (GIE) of the European Local Self-Government Charter for Lithuania and the person who was awarded the 13th January Commemorative Medal.
