Scientific Events Cycle “The Spring of Law Science” (SLS’2017)
On 6th _ 8th of February 2017 Vilnius University Faculty of Law invited Vilnius University community members and law practitioners to start the spring semester with a tradition – scientific events cycle “The Spring of Law Science 2017″. The programme of the cycle included a variety of scientific events, educational meetings, discussions encompassing not only national, but also international perspective of legal problems associated with the visit of delegation from University of Antwerp Faculty of Law (Belgium).
6th of February, 2017 was dedicated to the national scientific – practical conference “Research of Criminal Justice”. During the conference academics and legal practitioners shared their insights on issues of criminal justice research.
On 7th of February there were held two scientific meetings with the guests from University of Antwerp. At the first working meeting guests from the University of Antwerp and scientists from the Vilnius University Faculty of Law shared their ideas about the challenges and opportunities of the migration processes in EU, discussed about their research interests and future collaboration possibilities. After this event there was held an open scientific seminar – discussion among young researchers and PhD Students on current global challenges to legal systems, the role of the lawyer’s profession in the perspective of globalization, safeguards of the legal systems to protect fundamental values.
On 8th of February, Prof. Dr. Johan Meeusen from University of Antwerp Faculty of Law (Belgium) spoke about “EU conflict of laws: new solutions to new problems?”. Dr. Eugenijus Skerstonas met the community of Faculty of Law and presented psychological aspects of appearance culture.
