Cycle of Conferences: “The European Union Law Week”
On 25th of April – 2nd of May 2014, Faculty of Law of Vilnius University organised cycle of scientific events “European Union Law Week”, which was dedicated to commemorate the decade of Lithuania membership in the European Union.
The cycle of events consisted of conferences, seminars and entertainment events, which were organised together with partners of the Faculty of Law.
On 25th of April, “European Union Law Week” was opened with the high level scientific conference “The National Legal Identity in the European Union: Challenges and Opportunities”. The conference was organised together with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania.
On 28th of April, two conferences were held: “Regulatory Changes in The European Union of Privacy and Personal Data Protection” and “Innovations in the EU regulatory framework in the transport and energy sector”.
On 29th of April, novelties of civil procedure in the EU were discussed.
On 30th of April the seminar about the NGO and philanthropy in the European Union was held by Aurelija Olendraitė, director of the NGO Institute of Law. Also, the conference about the recruitment through temporary employment agencies in Lithuania and the European Union took place at the Faculty of Law.
On 2nd of May, the cycle of events of the European Union Law Week ended with the discussion of the lawyers about the decision making in the European Union.
