Seminar „Application International law into domestic courts“
On 22nd-23rd of November 2013, the international seminar “Application International law into domestic courts“ was held at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University. Prof. Dr. Tomas Davulis, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, congratulated participants and guests of the seminar.
Students of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University have actively participated in the seminar and prepared presentations in English: PhD Student Karolina Bubnytė presented about “The role of Lithuanian courts in implementation of ECHR“; Master’s degree student Ineta Breskienė spoke about the “Application of Strasbourg case law in Lithuanian Supreme Administrative Court: 20-06-13 case Lithuanian Gay League v. Vilnius municipality“; PhD Student Justinas Jarusevičius presented about “The New York convention: national attempts to avoid application of the arbitration clause“; the fourth year student Karolis Januška talked about the “International law into recent rulings of Lithuanian Constitutional Court: case study“.
An international tradition, organized for the tenth time in a row, is an excellent opportunity for students to discuss relevant issues of national law at the international level, exchange views, participate in discussions with university lecturers from other countries, take part in international conferences, get acquainted with participants of other countries and have a good time together.
