Representatives of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University visited the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia. The delegation was attended by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr Haroldas Šinkūnas, the Vice-Dean for Studies, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vigita Vėbraitė, and the Vice-Dean for Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr Jurgita Paužaitė-Kulvinskienė, Assoc. Prof. Dr Stasys Drazdauskas, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vida Petrylaitė, Assoc. Prof. Dr Johanas Baltrimas, Assoc. Prof. Dr Justyna Levon and Prof. Dr Ramūnas Birštonas.
During the visit, the prospects of further cooperation between the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University and the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of carrying out joint research projects, exchange of good practice in the field of studies and development of academic relations between legal scholars.
The Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr H. Šinkūnas, emphasised:
“I am delighted with the growing links with universities in neighbouring countries, including the University of Latvia. We want to cooperate with the Faculty of Law of this university and build a relationship that will help both sides to strengthen research and studies,” – H. Šinkūnas comments cooperation with the Law Faculty of Latvia University.
At the same time, the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia hosted an international student conference, where students from the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University also participated and presented relevant papers:
