Students of VU Law Faculty won bronze medals in the international project

March 16-20 of this year, Vilnius University Faculty of Law students Viktorija Višnevskaja and Daumantas Vilniškis participated in the hackathon organized by “Law Without Walls” in Switzerland, at the University of St. Gallen. Students of VU Law Faculty have been participating in this project for many years and have achieved excellent results, so this time is no exception – returning students are wearing bronze medals.

“Although on the very first day of the project it was difficult to get used to the specifics of teamwork, because in law studies we are used to analyzing legal acts, looking for court practice, solving legal cases alone, after the project had started I felt the spirit of hard but fruitful teamwork, I started to feel more and more freely. This project changed my prevailing thinking that teamwork is often inefficient and allows team members to abdicate personal responsibility for the final results of teamwork. In addition, I am extremely grateful for the acquaintances I met in the project and the conversations I had, which accompanied me throughout the project”, – 4th year student Daumantas Vilniškis shares his experience.

“The first question after the closing ceremony is over – how can I get back here?” In fact, this will probably be the most vivid memory of the entire study period, because I proved to myself that everything I learned at the university is not only formally applied legal acts, and the surprise of my friends when they say that law is an infinitely creative science, is already a busted myth . It’s nice that you are not alone in the Law Without Walls project, you are among equally motivated, young students, and at the same time you are supported and mentored by professionals in your field, which in my case was “White & Case and Novartis”, – says third-year student Viktorija Višnevskaja.

Congratulations to the students on their excellent achievements!
