LawWithoutWalls (LWOW) is an unique, experiential legal initiative teaming law and business students with practicing legal and business professionals on a journey of innovation to solve a problem at the intersection of law, business and technology. The main organizer is Miami Law School.
In 2025, LawWithoutWalls will be offering a 3-day, in-person Sprint on the 14—16 March Sprint 2025 which will be hosted by the University of Buckingham Law School at their campus in the charming town of Buckingham, UK (About 1.5 hours from London). The LWOW Sprint is a 3-day legal hackathon “weekender” where participants learn and apply design thinking principles to co-create the foundations of viable solutions to solve an urgent business-of-law problem.
In the 7 weeks leading up to Sprint, students will participate in a series of virtual interactive learning modules (both async and sync) to ensure students are prepared for the Sprint. These modules will run 15 January 2025 —5 March 2025. Precise schedule will come in late fall.
At Sprint 2025, students will collaborate and work alongside legal and business professionals from some of the most innovative places to work in the legal marketplace including: Dentons, Disney, DLA Piper, EY Law, HSBC, iManage, LegalZoom, Lloyds Banking Group, Microsoft, Pinsent Masons, Simmons & Simmons, UBS, White & Case, and more. This is a great way to build and strengthen your professional network, get recommendations, and be a part of a community passionate about progress and innovation in law.
Student applications open on a rolling basis starting 18 September 2024 and ending 11 November 2024. All students will be notified of acceptance by 2 December 2024.
