“Having a strong belief in international relations, we have been building academic cooperation with Ukrainian science and study institutions for several years. We have established grants for Ukrainian students, therefore a great number of students from different regions of Ukraine are studying in Lithuania. We also provide various Master degree programs, organize summer schools and implement a variety of joint research projects in the areas of Law History, Constitutional Law and European Integration. Over the last few years the cooperation has expanded and raised up to the institutional level. Our experts started participating in the projects of the European Union and international organizations. The goals of this collaboration are reforming the Ukrainian legal system and strengthening the competencies of the legal institutions of the Ukraine. This is a recognition not only of the Vilnius University Faculty of Law, but also of the entire lawyers’ community of Lithuania” – Prof. Dr. Tomas Davulis said in his inaugural speech.
