Prof. Anna Pikulska-Radomska was honored with an Honorary Doctorate

 

 

Today Anna Pikulska-Radomska, Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz, was honored with an Honorary Doctorate at St. John’s Church for her long-standing partnership with Vilnius University, fostering of academic communion, and her significant contribution to the development of legal studies at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University.

The cooperation between the Professor and the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University has lasted for more than 20 years. The cooperation agreement between the two universities was signed thanks to her efforts. During this time, she has been actively involved in the development of the network of doctoral students and the scientific cooperation between criminal law specialists. This partnership is one of the most active and productive between Vilnius University and Polish universities.

ka for her many contributions to our University. Thanks to her efforts, Vilnius University and the University of Lodz have had a successful and productive relationship for more than 20 years. Anna Pikulska-Radomska has contributed to the opportunities for our PhD students. Throughout her academic career, she has sought partnership between Poland and Lithuania and between our academic communities. It is obvious that Prof. Anna has done a lot during her academic career”, – these words were used by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haroldas Šinkūnas.

Prof. A. Pikulska-Rodomska herself was delighted to receive this recognition and shared her thoughts that Lithuania and Vilnius are like a second home for her:

“I first came to the Faculty of Law in 2016, and now we have a great, big community here, and I have found many friends and close colleagues. Lithuania and Vilnius are very close to me now. I love the city, the university, the people and everything as if I was born here.”
