Artūras Grumulaitis, who graduated master studies in the VU Law Faculty and now is the first year PhD student, had been awarded on yesterday. An award was dedicated by the Ministery of Foreign Affairs for his master thesis, which toook first place in the contest „The best master’s theses on the topic of European Union policy formation and implementation”.
A. Grumulaitis’s master thesis on topic “Liability for damage caused by low-quality artificial intelligence (In the context of Directive 85/374)” has been evaluated by comission of the contest with the highest scores. He researched this relevant topic by defining, how works artificial intelligence and what laws, related to it, prepares Europe Union. As well what is a responsibility of manufacturer and supplier of low-quality artificial intelligence products. He dedicated a lot of attention to the analysis of the existing legal base of Lithuania, by seeking to reveal whether legal regulation matches challenges caused by modern technologies.
