Dr. Kateryna Latysh, MSCA4Ukraine Postdoctoral Fellow, conducting a research project on “Digital forensic, open data source and artificial intelligence as tools of international security”, actively participated in many important HUMBOLDT4UKRAINE events, which helped stimulate discussions on the future of science and academia in Ukraine. The events brought together scholars and experts from more than 20 countries to discuss what support is needed to revitalise Ukraine’s scientific landscape during and after the conflict. The recommendations resulting from the discussions were officially presented to Oksen Lisoviy, Minister of Science of Ukraine, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Minister of Research of Germany, and other high-ranking officials in Berlin on 9 November this year.
