On 21-22 April, the fourth international conference of PhD students and young legal researchers was held at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University. This year, the conference was designed to discuss an interdisciplinary approach to the law in modern social context. Thus, various topics, that are relevant not only for lawyers but also for other specialists, were analysed. The conference was divided into separate sections, namely, legal and economic relations, the impact of high-tech and modern biotechnology on the law, the most recent interdisciplinary trends in the current international, criminal or labour law. This year, papers were presented by over forty PhD students from the UK, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, France, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and, of course, Lithuania. After the conference, the papers were published in an electronic conference journal.
The conference is one of the major annual events of international law PhD network established among the Faculties of Law of Vilnius University, Frankfurt am Main J.W. Goethe University, the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense and the University of Lodz.
