17th European law summer school has finished at VU Faculty of Law

On the 21st-29th of June 17th European law summer school has been taking place at VU Faculty of Law. It was organized after two year pause due to the pandemic. This year the topic was „Democracy and Law“ („Demokratie und Recht in Europa/Démocratie et droit en Europe“). During the opening prof. Klaus Guenther said that the topic had been decided before the pandemic, but right now it is even much more relevant.

The students from Germany, France, Lithuania and Ukraine not only discussed topics from roman law to war in Ukraine, but also visited the Constitutional Court of Lithuania and had excursion to Druskininkai.

Programme

European Law Summer School is an annual international project launched in 2004. The initiators of the project are Vilnius University Faculty of Law, University of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and the University of Paris Nanterre.
